DLE MEMBERS FIND UNITY THROUGH REAL-WORLD INSIGHTS ON CAREER, COMMUNITY, AND COST OF LIVING

By Viktoria Majcher, DLE social media intern and graduate student at Marist University

Members came together at the latest DLE Meetup in September to share insights on professional growth, personal realities, and navigating today’s fast-paced workplace. Conversations ranged from launching new ventures and pursuing leadership roles to handling financial pressures and rising living costs.

Laughter and lessons flowed, including a memorable in-person interview story where a candidate stepped out for a bathroom break–and never returned! Discussions also addressed the accelerated pace of promotions today versus the slower progression of past decades, and how these shifts impact career planning and retention.

By the end of the evening, members had exchanged practical advice, compared experiences, expanded networks, and gained fresh momentum toward achieving both professional and personal goals.
