BE A VOLUNTEER STORYTELLER THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Libraries and organizations from coast to coast are finding innovative ways to engage school children in their communities during the holiday break.

In DLE President Linda Dulye‘s community, UCP of Western Massachusetts’-sponsored radio station WRRS 104.3 LPFM hosts a Winter Holiday Break Story Hour featuring dozens of recorded stories from winter and holiday-themed books for younger audience members.

For Linda, volunteering her voice for WRRS’ story hour programs is personally enriching. “The wide assortment of books are a catalyst for raising the holiday spirit in all ages,” she explains. “Whether a story hour broadcaster or other volunteer role, what can you do to brighten the holiday season for others?”
