As AI becomes ever-present in the global landscape, the DLE spotlighted our growing relevance in the latest virtual Career Compass program: Make AI Your Trusted Sidekick in Career Growth, held on May 30. The program drew a global audience, with guest speaker David Kelly, general manager at AppSumo Originals, sharing practical insights on working with AI as a “brilliant assistant.”
David encouraged attendees to view AI not as a threat, but as a tool that can elevate the quality of their work through smart collaboration. He outlined four key takeaways for leveraging AI effectively:
- AI is inevitable. It’s not a question of if, but how you will use it.
- Use smart prompts. The better your inputs, the better the outputs.
- Identify high-impact areas. Look for where AI can streamline or enhance your work and life.
- Tap into AI’s creative potential. Use it to generate fresh ideas and unlock new possibilities.
Conversations during breakout sessions emphasized a recurring message: The best way to adapt to AI is to embrace it. By “falling forward with AI,” professionals build resilience and adaptability–essential skills in today’s workplace.
