These and other daunting personal and professional goals fueled discussion among a diverse group of attendees at the April 7 DLE Meetup, where the topic “Get Unstuck and Start Moving Forward” struck a common chord.
The in-person event surfaced honest exchanges of frustrations with staying motivated to achieve goals that were set months and even years ago. Program planners and facilitators Cam Hadley, Mike O’Brien, and Mystie Ford provided a simple formula for overcoming hurdles that deflect attention and drive. “I was instantly learning and growing by being in the space,” shared one participant.
True to the program’s promise, accountability buddies were created among attendees with the charter to keep the conversation–and encouragement–going over the next several months through online small group exchanges. Additionally, the attendees will reconvene on June 16 at a first-ever Progress CONFAB to share successes and setbacks in their goal achievement and support group’s engagement.
