Book Time for a One-on-One Meeting – with Yourself

Nevertheless, we can't accomplish all those things without a higher-level perspective on our workload and strategy.
Jump off the fast track for an hour each week and give yourself a moment to reconnect with what's on your mind:
- Review a list of all your projects. Are there some that can be put on the back burner? Some that should be higher priority?
- Dive into that stack of trade or business magazines piling up on your desk. They might spark some new ideas.
- Look for conferences, training sessions or books you should be considering to expand your skills.
Sometimes just getting out of the office for a block of time can clear your mind and give you a fresh perspective on your workload.
